PROJECT SCOPE

The HMI control system was designed in collaboration with RAFI to meet the growing demands for ergonomics, process reliability, and operating comfort in modern injection molding. 

The operating concept is based on a three-part panel design consisting of a power-on panel, a visualization panel, and the newly developed handheld control panel. The latter represents the key innovation: haptic button pairs that can be individually programmed enable precise, reliable, and intuitive machine operation, particularly during frequent setup procedures and manual adjustment tasks. 

The large multitouch display supports smooth navigation and allows for simultaneous operations, which accelerates workflows and reduces errors. This is complemented by modern access technologies such as RFID login in accordance with the EUROMAP standard, as well as optional MIFARE systems, which enable granular access control. 

The entire control system is ergonomically optimized and capable of swiveling, making it suitable for long periods of concentrated use. At the same time, it offers extensive customization options, such as freely configurable key switches, favorite pages, and user-specific profiles.
