Take-back and recycling in the EU - WEEE
As a manufacturer of electromechanical components and operating systems, RAFI is subject to the requirements of the EU Directive 2012/19/EU on waste electrical and electronic equipment (WEEE), among other things. This directive regulates the placing on the market and taking back of electronic products. It is important to us to comply with this legal obligation in order to promote the take-back of WEEE and thus protect the environment.

We cooperate with the service company "Recycling Network Europe AG" (RENE AG), which supports us in complying with the requirements of the EU Directive and its country-specific implementations. Through the cooperation with RENE AG, we can provide our customers with a Europe-wide network of take-back systems that collect WEEE and recycle it professionally. If you wish to return your products purchased from RAFI, please contact

Important information on recycling
Electrical and electronic products can have a negative impact on the environment and human health if not disposed of properly. Therefore, at the end of their life cycle, such products must be collected separately and disposed of in a special way. In accordance with the EU Directive on WEEE, this is indicated by the symbol of the crossed-out wheeled garbage can, which is printed on every RAFI product. In addition, the black bar under this symbol indicates that the corresponding product was placed on the market after 13.08.2005.

Like electrical and electronic products, the substances contained in batteries and luminaires (lamps) can have a negative impact on the environment and human health if not disposed of properly. We therefore ask you to remove batteries and luminaires (lamps) from the corresponding product before disposing of them and to dispose of them properly.

Selected RAFI products are capable of storing sensitive data. It is therefore the responsibility of our customers to delete sensitive data from RAFI products before sending the products for recycling.

We participate in take-back and collection schemes for waste electrical equipment and batteries in Europe.
