RAFI has developed an adaptive user interface concept for its customer that significantly improves the operation of and communication with construction machinery. Its name is INTUSI, which stands for “Intuitive User Interface.”
The armrests were designed in collaboration with the customer and engineered and developed by RAFI to meet the growing demands for ergonomics, safety, and operating comfort in modern construction vehicle operations. All tests and necessary certifications have been fully completed, and mass production has begun successfully.
The optimized ergonomic design, which meets high aesthetic standards, increases operator acceptance and significantly improves user-friendliness.
The operating concept is based on two complete armrests (left and right) with integrated control elements and indicators. The multifunction joystick serves as the main control element and is supplemented by additional elements such as a navigation control, additional RAFI design key switches, and RAFI linear joysticks.
The integrated multitouch display with force feedback serves as the central display interface; it was developed by RAFI and is also manufactured there.
Everything under one roof: RAFI handles everything in-house – from the planning and implementation of manufacturing and assembly processes to the production of individual parts, subassemblies, and complete final assembly.
